Secure by Default

We take security seriously. That is why Scalarium comes with sane defaults and helps you to keep your systems up to date.

Firewalling

Scalarium will setup the Amazon security groups and network ACLs automatically to lock down your servers. Only ports fitting the role of a server will be opened.

Web servers will allow HTTP(S) connections but nothing else. Database servers will only allow connections from your own machines and are not reachable from the internet.

Security Updates

Keeping up-to-date with security updates is not easy, especially if you have many machines. Scalarium allows you to update all or just specific machines.

Thus you can test an update on one of your staging servers before rolling it out to all machines.
